Now That We Know It’s Time (1204 AM)

Beth attends the execution of a serial killer, and meets one of his victims.

“Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in the memory
as the wish to forget it.”
~Montaigne

Mick reassures Audrey.

A mass murderer named Donovan Shephard is executed and Beth takes Audrey, a young woman with whom she greatly identifies, under her wing. Audrey’s parents had been the final victim’s of Shephard’s murder spree and now she is being harassed and threatened by Shephard’s supporters.

Beth watches Mick work.

Beth asks Mick to investigate and if possible, put a halt to Audrey’s tormentors. After an online search leads him to believe Audrey may be the target of an organized effort of stalking, he rushes to her rescue.

Mick takes down Audrey’s attacker.

Mick’s investigation takes him to the palatial home of a movie executive who plans to make a movie of Shephard’s life story. In the source material for the story, Mick finds evidence that Shephard may have turned vampire prior to his execution, allowing him to survive.

Beth is concerned for Mick as he goes to hunt Donovan Shephard.

Audrey and Beth to go visit the D.A. to discuss her harassment and soon afterwards, Mick finds the D.A. murdered. Convinced now that Shephard is indeed a vampire, Mick installs Beth and Audrey at his loft for safe-keeping while he goes on the hunt for Shephard. The chase leads from a church to the movie producer’s mansion and back home again…

Mick finds the body of the DA in the prison morgue.

Meanwhile, left to her own devices in Mick’s apartment, Beth’s journalistic instincts kick in, and she searches Mick’s files. She finds one labeled with her name, containing pictures of her from over the last 20 years. Armed with the knowledge that Mick indeed rescued her when she was a child, she confronts him on the rooftop at dawn…

Beth reads her file in Mick’s office.

Some observations:

*Mick doing “maintenance” removing bullet from left arm, perhaps where Leni shot him in “Fever?” It grosses me out that he doesn’t rinse that bullet off before dropping it in the jar, though.
*This is one of the “vampire mythology” problem episodes – for example, the priest vampire doesn’t smell Mick (he asks “who are you?” when the answer should be partially obvious) & newly turned vampire blood-lust can apparently be overcome with some preparation.
*Why did Donovan attack Jerry Drake, Audrey and Beth with a knife? Doesn’t that seem a little odd?
*Beth going through Mick’s files — regardless of Mick’s reactions — ok or not ok?

You know my name. Look up the number.

JK Parting Shots:

As many of you know, this is only my second time watching through the series. The first time through, up through episode 7, I was definitely enjoying it, finding it entertaining, but I couldn’t say for sure that I was a Moonlight fanatical fan (a.k.a. “Mooney”). This episode, though. This episode, coming after the intensity of “Fever,” after the emotion of “B.C.” and the suspense of “The Ringer,” then there was This Episode – and I feel like I got it, I finally understood. The clouds parted and the sun shone through and even though this probably isn’t one of the best episodes of Moonlight (tell me I’m wrong!) it’s definitely one of my favorites. Here are a few screencaps.

Bronwyn (didn’t you know her name is Bronwyn) gets her eyes on the goods.

Jerry Drake eyes Mick’s… sword. You heard me.

The screencap that dare not speak its name.
I love this show!

That awkward moment when you use all the good “Alice in Wonderland” quotes recapping Episode 7 and the characters mention it in Episode 8.

I’m sorry, really, special apologies to Westy who I know hates the smirk, but apologies to you all, making you look at these gross screencaps.

Audrey

She doesn’t know not to go home with strange women, answer unlisted phone calls or take showers while being stalked but regardless, she is a sweet, sympathetic and thankfully unquestioning girl. I thought the actress was just perfect in the role!

And finally, we get to the final scene on the rooftop, and what can you say about this scene, really? Alex & Sophia really nailed it, hit all the right emotional notes, and visually the scene itself is just poetically beautiful.

Beth has found her hero.

Mick struggles with the choices he’s made.

Beth expresses her thankfulness, Mick isn’t sure he deserves it.

It was at this moment I knew that from now until the end of time, I was a devoted,

addicted,

enthralled

Mooney!

  1. Episode 8 AT LAST!!!!! I could have written your parting shot word for word, this is my absolute favourite episode of all even though it might not be the best – it just summed up everything that the show was supposed to be about, to me. So much love.

    Observations:

    *Mick doing “maintenance”
I love his jar of bullets, but eww, never noticed that he didn’t rinse it off.
    .
*This is one of the “vampire mythology” problem episodes
Yup, totally, not least the priest vamp himself. Most churches I’ve ever been in are crucifixes-a-go-go.

*Why did Donovan attack Jerry Drake, Audrey and Beth with a knife?
Maybe because he’s newly turned? He got a kick out of killing and he’s spent years in jail, so maybe he’s making up for lost time? (That was a lovely thought. Not.)

*Beth going through Mick’s files — regardless of Mick’s reactions — ok or not ok?
Very not ok, but very ‘Beth’. She’s a reporter, what ya gonna do? 😉

OK, so I need to sort throught my FOUR PAGES of notes for this ep. Back in, oooh, couple of days. 😉

  2. Thanks not have to go back and watch this episode for like the 50th time. Love it, Alex and Sophia both great.

  3. 1. You would think Audrey would be given a private way to leave.

    2. I have to say, the execution scene made me really uncomfortable, as no doubt it was meant to.

    3. “I want to feel safe.” Oh, the feeeelings from what happens after this. Beth’s boyfriend is the assistant DA – if someone’s being threatened, he’d be the best option, no? No. She goes to Mick, because she feels safer with him than with anyone else, even if she doesn’t really understand why yet.

    4. Chest hair mmmmmm.

    5. Pride and Prejudice! I knew I liked Audrey.

    6. The whole scene in the bathroom. This show did give good bathroom.

    7. Note 7 was “He’s going to make a movie”, but I’m not sure why.

    8. Steve Mc…. Queen!

    9. More TERRIBLE Photoshop in Movie Guy’s office.

    10. Isn’t it a criminal offence to incite someone to murder over there? It is here.

    11. I love the moment where Mick manages not to look down the girl’s cleavage, but then she TOTALLY checks out his a*se. I felt sorry for her in general, really. So near, and yet so far.

    12. In the DA’s office – if the ‘family’ had been responsible, would they not have TAKEN the knife? Bad joined-up thinking there.

    13. Here’s another mythology one – do vampires not have fingerprints? Because Mick is pretty certain that Donovan’s body is not in the freezer before he even opens it, and then finds a body in there that’s obviously going to belong to someone else, which is going to need to be investigated…. if I were him, I think I would have worn gloves.

    14. “Beware the bottles that say ‘Drink Me’” this ep had just the BEST lines, even if there was no Josef at all. Boooo!

    15. Whenever Mick shows up somewhere (like the burned out building in Ep7) no-one ever questions or double-checks what he’s doing there, they just take his word for it. Is this down to vamp charisma, do we think?

    16. “It’s been about 36 years since my last confession” – well, this is interesting. If he were going to lie he’d say it had been two weeks or something, so obviously he was going to confession long after he became a vamp. Poor self-hating Mick. *sniff*

    17. I’m not going to comment on the Bad Vamp/Movie Guy scene, I’m just going to go and look here: http://h50sardonic.com/2011/04/01/moonlight-iii/#comment-18011

    18. Oh. The sword’s NOT real then.

    19. This guy’s been a vamp for five minutes and he’s STILL kicking Mick’s a*se.

    20. MORE vampire mythology – does it hurt vamps when you kick them in the crotch? Because that is so totally what Beth should have done when Bad Vamp got hold of her.

    21. In the same vein, when the elevator doors were just that little bit open, Audrey should have punched him in the face.

    22. The balcony scene. I have no words, I just can’t even.

    • -(3) Beth’s boyfriend is the assistant DA – if someone’s being threatened, he’d be the best option, no?
In Beth’s defense, he was out of town 😉
(19.) This guy’s been a vamp for five minutes and he’s STILL kicking Mick’s a*se.
In Mick’s defense, they do show how he was surprised and distracted every time before the guy kicks his a*s in these scenes
      (20) does it hurt vamps when you kick them in the crotch?
I am sure it will hurt. Pain is so close to pleasure, they say…..if a vamp can be aroused and pleasured during s*x, he can can most certainly feel the pain of a kick too. 😀

      • 3. She could still have called him – but I liked it that she went to Mick after she’d just been talking to Audrey about him without knowing it… as if her subconscious had made the connection even though her conscious mind hadn’t quite got there yet. It fit so well with the rest of the episode.

        20. She SO should have done it then. 😉

    • 4. Chest Hair was ridiculous in this ep. It Was Everywhere!!

      10. Yes it is here, too. But it’s hard to prove, I guess.

      14. Sad lack of Josef! I know! I didn’t realize it first time around because I was so “not getting” Josef but this time I really felt it, like — why doesn’t Mick go talk to Josef about this? Even if for no reason. It just felt odd coming after an ep that had both Josef & Coraline. Most of Ep 8 could have been put anywhere in the series, wouldn’t have mattered. Just a story. But that final scene gives it an important time & place & good focus on just Mick & Beth.

      16. I wonder if being in churches dampens vampire senses?

      17. I had the most fun writing that comment!! OMG that takes me back. 😀

      • 14. Maybe because it was such a big episode in terms of Beth finding out about Mick being the one who saved her, they didn’t want to overcomplicate it? And there was an awful lot in the ep, I can’t think of anything that could have been cut out. It would have been fun if Josef had been at Mick’s when Donovan arrived though. I would have loved to see him be all ‘can’t we pay someone to do this?’ again.

        16. I suppose it must do, otherwise the priest would have known he was a vamp and he did seem a bit surprised.

        17. I cried laughing the first time I read that comment, and it was ALL I could think of during that scene. 🙂

        Posted by Alicia | July 16, 2012, 10:35 am
    • #3, maybe she did call Josh. You know, OFFSCREEN 😉
#19, I guess they have to do it this way for good story telling, eh? Otherwise those scenes would’ve been v v short and pretty boring if Mick gave them a proper good arse kicking as his experience should have allowed him.
#20 I thought the same thing. A good swift kick would’ve done wonders for this scene.

    • “17. I’m not going to comment on the Bad Vamp/Movie Guy scene, I’m just going to go and look here: sardonic…”
This makes me laugh!! It did when I first watched, still does. And I love the link to Steph’s original comment on sardonic, I had totally forgotten about that!!! LOLOLOL!

    • “2. I have to say, the execution scene made me really uncomfortable, as no doubt it was meant to.”

The last person put to death in Australia was in 1967 (a guy by the name of Ronald Ryan) and all states had abolished capital punishment by the 80s. The prison where Ryan was hanged has mostly been torn down and redeveloped into a residential area. You could pay me a million bucks and I would still not live on that haunted land!

“5. Pride and Prejudice! I knew I liked Audrey.”

To the surprise of absolutely no one here I have not read nor seen Pride and Prejudice. As such I do not get the whole Colin Firth thing.

      “8. Steve Mc…. Queen!”
      I LOLed at that.

“13. Here’s another mythology one – do vampires not have fingerprints?”

Hmm I don’t think this has ever been touched on, at least not in any of the shows or books I can think of. I would have to say yes they would, but it again brings us back to that argument of if vampires aren’t aging and are essentially frozen in time, then how do the skin cells that fall of their hands etc grow back? And this when we have stop analysing????

      • 13. Here’s another mythology one – do vampires not have fingerprints?”
I am not sure of the episode now (I think it is in Epi 1 – I’ll have to verify), but Josef said it….we live the day and age of fingerprints and DNA. We have to be careful…….
So in my opinion they do have fingerprints and even DNA and bloodtypes as well……..
PS Infant, why should we not analyse it?

  4. And another stellar Moonlight ending…

Anyone who thinks Alex can’t emote needs to be tied to a chair and made to watch the last two minutes of this episode. Mick absolutely breaks my heart at the end – all that guilt and shame and devotion and horror and love fight for their rightful places on his face. And Beth tries so hard to make him understand that he’s not horrible. I go between wanting to hug him and make it all better, and wanting to shake him and tell him to GET it, already!

I did get kinda skeeved watching Mick cut his arm open and fish out that bullet, and more skeeved seeing that jar and knowing how many times he’d done it before.

Shephard with Mick’s phone made me feel like an idiot – I thought I was going to have to take a college course to learn how to use my smartphone and Shephard pulls Beth’s address out of Mick’s without a hitch.

Sophia is all kinds of gorgeous in this ep, and I chuckle every time I watch her pick up Mick’s shirt and smell it, because I would totally do that. She freaks out when she finds out Mick’s been following her around for 22 years, but she handles it with aplomb.

Ok or not ok for Beth to go through Mick’s files? Not. Ok. She invaded his privacy, even though she only went through her own file. Then again…Mick could have known Beth would snoop and should have locked the file cabinet. 🙂

    • Another great ending scene — ACA. Alex was amazing in this scene, really sold the emotion well, all the more challenging since he wasn’t making eye contact with the camera or Beth, so that’s all the more reflective of his overall talent to me — since so much of TV acting is in the eyes.

That jar of bullets. OK. He’s been a vampire for what 55ish years? How many stinking bullets were in that jar? That’s getting shot A LOT. Did he become a P.I. … in the 1960s? If he didn’t until the ’70s or ’80s that’s …. it’s a lot of lead, is all I’m saying.

Shephard with the smart phone — such a good point. The guy was in prison well before the smartphone… nay, CELL PHONE revolution of the early 2000s…. there’s no way he ever would have handled on let alone figured out how to open the contacts file & scroll to the right address. How did he know Mick’s name, anyway?

      Sophia = Gorgeous Yes!!!! ACA!!!!

I also agree not OK to snoop. *sigh* Oh Beth. Good thing Mick figured you’d piece it all together anyway someday so he ain’t even mad.

      • How did he know Mick’s name is one of my notes. Although it didn’t occur to me that he would have missed smartphones… but you are so RIGHT!! #plotholealert!

  5. Steph
I thought the actress was just perfect in the role!

I also thought so, but this time around the time frame bugged me. She was 10 at the murder, this is 15 yrs later, that would make her 24yrs – she looks and sounds younger….but I looked it up, she was 23yrs when this was shot!
And how old was Donavon suppose to be? The actor was 35 then, minus 15yrs, would make him 20 at the time of his mass murder rampage. I thought maybe that is young for that kind of behaviour, but then again, a lot of these murdering sprees that hit the news in recent years have been by younger people…..

    * Why did Donovan attack Jerry Drake, Audrey and Beth with a knife? Doesn’t that seem a little odd?

I think he was into the theatical stuff. Like Audrey said he likes to stage the scene. He was talking with the producer before he went homicidal…so he was kind of an actor and wanted to be dramatic…..

    Posted by FOYeur | July 16, 2012, 7:59 am
  6. Okay, of course I agree with all the comments on how great the ending of this episode was, but am I the only one who enjoyed the entire thing because Donovan was pretty hot? I enjoyed the plot, also, but as much as I want to see this episod repeatedly for the Mick/Beth interaction at the end, I want to see it for Donovan, too. I like the bad boys. And as always, I enjoyed Alex/Mick, his amazing acting, and his sexy chest hair. Reminds me, Alex needs to play more bad boys. I don’t know about anyone else, but I wanted Michael to win at the end of FEED. I still won’t watch the last scene after the gunshots–I choose to pretend he did win.

    • Donavan’s voice was something else, totally creepy sexy!! Heh heh, he sure was a charismatic bad boy for sure! I do like everything about this episode (except boo no Josef) but everything else, I totally love it all! It’s fast paced & fun & emotional too. Great stuff.

      Posted by SJ2 (Junk Kicker) | July 16, 2012, 10:27 am
      • I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought there was a little something ‘special’ about Donovan.

Honestly, until everyone here mentioned it, I hadn’t even missed Joseph. Now that’s all I’ll think about when I watch it again.

Posted by Lorraine Pearl | July 16, 2012, 10:36 am
        • Donovan’s voice made him interesting…but almost over the top creepy too, bordering on cheesy. Hot physically? ERm, no.

I didn’t miss Josef either. As much as I love him, I didn’t notice he was gone, there was too much other good stuff.

          Posted by ESS @H50BAMF | July 16, 2012, 12:51 pm
          • K, stupid newbie here. What does “ERm” mean? Probably something simple I should know, or already do and just don’t get it.

I guess now that you mention it, his voice was a bit overdone, but I can overlook that due to his hotness. I know a lot of you guys probably don’t look at guys like that as hot, but he’s my type. And since Alex is, too, I guess you can see my type is pretty broad. I used to be more picky. Guess poor Donovan wouldn’t qualify for a spot on your hot BAMF list, ESS.

Posted by Lorraine Pearl | July 16, 2012, 2:00 pm
            • Erm, is just like “um”, “uh”, those types of words. One of the literarly greats in here can probably step in and tell you exactly what they’re called but I don’t remember…. Words..not my thing. I just throw a lot together and hope they make sense. heh. For once, it’s not something that we’ve named. LOL!

Actually, Donovan is quite the BAMF. Just not a ‘hot’ BAMF in my opinion. never been into blondes…Ever. (No h8 to any blondes out there)

              Posted by ESS @H50BAMF | July 16, 2012, 2:09 pm
              • Thanks for the clarification. I thought that it might be something like that, but wasn’t sure.

Yeah, Donovan was definitely a BAMF. He can stay on my hot list, though. I used to be like you, ESS. I didn’t like blonds, but I think that had something to do with how my first boyfriend screwed me over. When I got over that, back to liking any hair color. There’s just too many hot men out there to limit them by hair color anymore. I’m an equal opportunity ogler.

Although, me and my best friend always argue because I liked Axl Rose and she liked Vince Neil. So she always said blonds were better, and I always said redheads. Now she laughs because my first hero in my series is a blond. It just worked out that way.

  10. My random comments that I wanted to post first thing this morning, but my koala of a day at work prevented me from doing:

-Shepherd was creepy to me. Not hot at all, too creepy. I thought they cast him really well because he totally weirded me out!!
-if Shepherd was already turned when they strapped him into the execution chair, why did he have a heartbeat on the monitor?
-it’s the bulging eyeball scene!! Shiny!!
-terrible wig on the wannabe Shepherd who breaks into Beth’s house.
-Mick is hot when he’s threatening people. Come to think about it, McG is hot when he’s threatening people. Hmm… I may have a problem…
-Mick tells Beth not to let Audrey go upstairs or into the office or through the grey door… what’s behind the grey door? Do we know and I’m forgetting?
-Others pointed this out too, but why couldn’t the vamp priest smell that Mick was a vamp? On second thought, maybe church insense blocks scent? And since Mick went so many years since his last confession, this means he was/is Catholic?
    -the producers house = WANT
-I love that Beth smells Mick’s sweater when she goes in his office. LOVE!
-sniffing!! Where’s Spursy with the count?
-good lord, Mick can wear a pair of jeans.
-and finally… CHEST HAIR! OODLES OF FABULOUS CHEST HAIR!
-the last scene. No words. Hearts only.

    Posted by heymomo | July 16, 2012, 7:20 pm
    • And since Mick went so many years since his last confession, this means he was/is Catholic?
The “St” in his surname can be some indication for this. We also do know that his parents were religious and took him to church every Sunday. And I think Steph also mentioned earlier that he was very specific in his wording of last being at confession 36 yrs ago.

      – if Shepherd was already turned when they strapped him into the execution chair, why did he have a heartbeat on the monitor?
Because ML Vamps do have a heartbeat IMO (there is also in Episode 10 an indication for this). I think they need their blood to move around in the body for different reasons……..

      Posted by FOYeur | July 16, 2012, 10:16 pm
      • Or it could be that when the human body dies (even if it’s not from blood loss), if it’s already ‘infected’ with vampirism, that takes over?

        Posted by Alicia | July 16, 2012, 11:34 pm
        • If you have lots of time, you can read my whole theory in the Parking Lot…… 😀

          Posted by FOYeur | July 16, 2012, 11:41 pm
        • Mick specifically said in Dr Feelgood that the way to be a vampire is to be “near death” and *then* ingest the blood of a vampire. Obviously the easiest way for vamps to turn someone is to bite the jugular vein (kill them), and then drip blood into their mouth from their hand or arm, which we see the priest do to Shephard in the security tape. So Shephard was for sure a vampire by the time he got to the execution chamber. It’s how he either faked a heartbeat or faked his heartbeat stopping that we don’t really understand.

          Posted by SJ2 (Junk Kicker) | July 17, 2012, 10:53 am
          • Two theories on that.
He was actually dead from the lethal injection, but then his system would recover as soon as he was unhooked from the drugs. Vamps do get injured (in this case his heart stopped because of what was done to it), but they recover. The injection would normally have been made up of at least 3 different substances. The one is lethal to the heart and stop it working directly (it is the substance used by Drs. when they want to stop the heart from beating during surgery)
Some of them work on the nervous system as well (paralyse the person in other words)……and according to me, ML vamps do have a working nervous system.
Oops, I just blew my own 2nd theory out of the water……
I wanted to say he could have used some special strong but small movement with his muscles, just to unhook the connections from the monitor….but if your nervous system is paralyses….then you can’t. 😆

            Posted by FOYeur | July 17, 2012, 2:41 pm
          • I think his heart probably did stop and he ‘died’ as a human. They do get hurt and some injuries take longer for them to bounce back from. Like when Mick is shot in the head, he’s out for a short while before his body can heal enough to bring him back. I’d say the more severe the injury the longer it takes for the body to heal, unlike a simple cut or gunshot wound to the forearm, which we’ve seen heal very quickly.

      • “they need their blood to move around in the body for different reasons…”
I can think of at least one reason 😉

    • The grey door! I wondered that too, but I couldn’t remember it being referred to before (but then this is only my second viewing).

      • Where is the grey door?

        Posted by FOYeur | July 16, 2012, 11:32 pm
        • In Momo’s comment – Mick told Beth not to go into the office, upstairs or through the grey door, and she said it had all gone a bit ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Maybe it was just a way to get the “bottles that say Drink Me” line in there, because that was an OUTSTANDING line.

        • The grey door is somewhere in Mick’s loft, I’m sure by Season 4 we would have found out what he was hiding up there. Now instead of being Mrs Haversham, he’s Mr Rochester. 😉 (that one’s for Alicia)

          • OMG! He is! Except his mad wife escaped!

This entire series was apparently based on nineteenth-century English novels.

            • Just wait until next week when we open it up to French Lit as well. 😉

              Posted by SJ2 (Junk Kicker) | July 17, 2012, 11:29 am
              • Oh Lordy. The only French Lit I remember even vaguely is Molière, Camus and Beaumarchais. Or La Cantatrice Chauve, but that’s only because our entire French class spent about six months saying “Tiens! Il est neuf heures!” whenever anyone asked what time it was, and I had to just look up where it came from because I couldn’t remember anything else about it.

Shamefully, I have not even read Les Misérables, even though I’ve seen the musical three times. I’m guessing that probably doesn’t count?

                • Now I am so embarrassed, when you see what I’m using for next week — nothing nearly so literary and so much more cheesy melodrama. *Not Saying Another Word!*

                  • Honestly, I didn’t read any of it for fun! and apart from the fact that Camus used to be a soccer goalkeeper (random), “Tiens! Il est neuf heures!” is more or less the sum total of my recollection. (I just worked out that the reason I don’t remember much of it is that it was twenty years ago. *weep*)

                  • And here I was thinking that you were at least gonna use Hamlet for Episode 9, Romeo & Juliet for Episode 12 and Macbeth for Episode 13………

    • – Where’s Spursy with the sniff count?

Spursy is sucking at life right now and, therefore, behind on Moonlight Mondays. Which is beyond sad because there is clearly some chest hairage at I need to roll around in. I’m going to double up this weekend. This is going to call for an extra large cocktail for the SNIFF drinking game.

    • I have just forgiven all the Aussies that do not know Alex is Australian. I actually looked up Gideon’s age earlier and never caught the fact that he was raised in SA and went to university here…..AND starred in movies with some v v famous locals.

He was Balthier in Final Fantasy XII….. that is such a big deal you have no idea!!! I’m totally outing myself as a video game nerd right now I don’t care!!!! This guy has the Sexiest Voice!!! • In defence of those Australians, Alex was here for about a minute then packed up and went to kick it with the big leagues. (and thank gosh he did because this is the latest Australian offering from The Evil Station http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shire_%28TV_series%29) H50 hardly gets any press here so unless you’re looking him up or floating around doing the internet thing, no one is going to pick him as an Aussie. Sad but true.

But it’s ok Alex, Westy and I love you enough for all the Aussies. All 22.6 million of them but specifically the 22.5 million of them who are clueless.

  13. Apologies for being a week late!

My random thoughts on Moonlight Episode 8 – The Ocho:

    – Mick walking around the kitchen island and standing there with the glass of blood… I think I just had a hot flash.
    – Hmmmm…. what would my last meal be? McG with a double side of Mick please.
    – Why was Donovan so weak in his cell before he was turned?
    – Damn, he got turned quick!
    – How did the monitors work on Donovan? Are vamps able to trick heart monitors?
    – How long had that dude been in Beth’s closet?
    – “And Columbine used to be just a flower.” 😦
    – There’s Mick, standing next to a sunlit window. WTF.
    – The sword is hot.
    – How cool would it be if Mick had lived back in the 1700s. Asgkdhgeslajfh.
    – Gray door? What gray door? What’s behind the gray door, Mick?!
    – Did the priest tell Donovan to slit throats instead of biting?
    – Damn you, Beth! Damn you to hell! I’m probably the only one that is pissed that she was snooping.
    – How can Audrey sleep after that? I know I couldn’t.
    – Bad gray shirt on the rooftop. Bad, bad, bad.
    – Hello, chest hair. I see you.

Sniff count: 2, both in the fancy house

Line of the ep: “I think I really just wanted to be Steve McQueen.” Le sigh.
