The Adventures of Stick!Mick St. John (and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day)

“So,” I thought, “I like making stick figures in MS Paint, but I really want to draw with my new pencils and art paper. I know! How about actually drawing my stick figure characters?”

None of the voices in my head said I shouldn’t, so…

I was having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day about six weeks ago when I started this little project. I then proceeded to neglect it — a lot! But was inspired to wrap it up today.

So without further ado, another installment of the Adventures of Stick!Mick St. John and Stick!Josef in the 1980s, very roughly hand drawn by me! Truly – Most of this was done before I invested in high-quality erasers. What Josef is holding in the 2nd panel is a Rubik’s Cube. Also, before you ask, the answer is “yes, that is a shout out to you.” OK, enough, enjoy!

  2. I’m glad the voices in your head were in agreement. 1981 was a good year, yes, I was around for it so love the MTV and Raiders poster and the big clunky computer, were they invented yet? No, they were not vintage at that time.
